Pros

Tuition Reimbursement, Some good co-workers

Cons

Had an absolutely horrible experience working for Chipotle. Started there with more than four years of management experience and was hired on with the opportunity for promotion. I am a full-time college student and requested no more than 30 hours a week, which usually meant 45-50. I made 10.30 an hour to run the grill by myself. They would make me do this 5-6 nights a week and refused to let me take a break. They told me that "since you're the only one who knows how to run grill, you can't go on break or we'll run out of food". Constantly refused breaks for 9+ hour shifts of working like a dog, god awful, abusive management. There were days where I would work 9am to 12:30am and have to come back in at 7am the next day. They would sometimes schedule me 10 days in a row. On my one off day a week I would receive at least a dozen calls begging me to come in because they were short handed, and then get reprimanded when I stopped answering. Would not recommend to anyone who values their mental physical health.

Pros

Learning and growing to cultivate your own career path into a competent General Manager. The hours are longer than regular but the position is labeled as salary hourly with a minimum of 50 hours per week which guarantees 10 hours if overtime per week.

Cons

The long hours can be tiring and the expectations are less than or equivalent to that of a General Manager and depending who your boss is dependent on what you learn and how you can grow.
