Under new ownership through Knitwell.... AVOID AT ALL COSTS. - Analyst Chico's FAS Employee Review

Pros

Under old ownership and leadership, Chico's FAS had great benefits, summer Fridays, and some of the best health insurance I've had working for a company. They had flexible working environments, and they always had ample resources and benefits for whatever what I was looking for. New technology and innovation was encouraged, and it felt like anyone and everyone would get cross-platform training and experience. New ownership under Knitwell seems to be chipping away at the pros and benefits of working at Chico's.

Cons

The work culture is incredibly fast paced to a point it is incredibly disorganized. Communication seems to be a problem across the board, and this constantly causes operational issues. Many teams, especially in tech, were severely downsized after covid, but now they are made even smaller after Knitwell's reorganization. The resources that remain are strained to a point that the average employee is doing the work of 5-6 team members with zero work-life balance. Knitwell's business model seems to have an overall aversion to technology altogether to a point they do not see it as a an essential pillar of business - that is a huge red flag for anyone and everyone who works in the tech sector. They seem want to downgrade years of innovation and progress while limiting the functionality of teams. I also get the sense they want to outsource high paying tech jobs and eliminate American jobs altogether. Liz K- the head of Knitwell has communicated that they want to "build a covenant with the city of Fort Myers" and maintain as many local jobs to HQ and the area before subsequently costing several employees in the area their livelihoods. Her, and her team, have repeatedly lied to the entire company about the incoming changes in a "bait and switch" kind of way. It shows all the signs of a dirty and unethical business who does not care about their employees. I would not be surprised if they eliminate 90% of the remaining staff in the upcoming months...

Pros

Fun at times with conversations amongst employees

Cons

The pettiness The bad mouthing of current employees or past employees, if the manager was talking about them I am sure she was talking about me Manager gave out her phone number to all employees to contact by text or calls, when I had to text her , her reply back was condescending and not to pleasant. I got an apology the next day. She knew she was wrong She got a bad review because she did not present herself in a positve way when helping a customer, she talked about the previous management I had an upcoming date that I needed off and she knew but she scheduled me for that day anyway I was told there was a review about me apologizing to much? That was a lie, I looked at all the reviews none about me but she had a negative one about her I only apologized to my customers if we did not have a product or we did not fit their expectations Yes I did apologize to some employees, I was in training and learning. Im sure it was the fellow coworkers that complained I do have problems with my right foot and at the moment my nice pair of nikes was providing more comfort to my feet, and was told I needed a drs note? But another employee who his younger was wearing very dirty tennis shoes, not a good look if they a noticably dirty Not good training, barely had any
