Pros

- Free food when working a double shift - 50% discount when ordering food on the clock - 25% discount when ordering food off the clock - Friendly environment - very flexible scheduling

Cons

- Fast-paced and hectic - Cheddars uses "Tip Share" meaning that all of the tips gathered from servers are distributed equally throughout server assistants- Servers get the most, bussers get a middle amount and hosts get the least. tipshare is distrubted just enough to set everyone at minimum wage. servers start at $2.50 an hour and mussers start at ~$4.25 an hour. Hosts get $9 an hour. - Paychecks come through the Darden Card instead of directly to your bank, which can be tedious as the transaction time from Darden Card to Bank takes 3-5 business days, and Tipshare does not go through with the paycheck- Paycheck and money earned from Tipshare are separate, making it difficult to manage.

Pros

Potential to make a good money on a weekend, great employee benefits, flexible, schedules, easy to switch shifts. Great employee discounts. A lot of good people working there and helpful coworkers which come in handy when managers refuse to help.

Cons

Managers don't like helping new hires. Management definitely has favorites and if you are not one it will be a rough time unfortunately. They have the surveys which I feel are kind of unfair cause people are more likely to leave a survey review if their experience was unpleasant even if it has nothing to do with the server they get punished for it. Though you do get some nice people who leave good reviews. But also puts more pressure on an already stressful job. Dishwashers get bombarded with dishes with minimal help. You need a key just to do and get the most basic things such as taking the trash out or getting boxes.
