Pros
-You can move up quickly in the company since there is a high turnover rate -You have a 50% discount at all affiliate restaurants (except for Little Fin)
Cons
-although you can move up quickly, pay is not adequate for the amount of time worked. Salaried positions work overtime consistently every week, which may make sense in a restaurant setting but not when you are working 60+ in an office doing the work of two people. -There are many structural problems. There's a lack of staffing in many positions; concierge, reservations, events, accounting. And as a result some positions require you to work your own job + that of another. HR does not hire pre-emptively, so although students may be there for the summer, they do not hire in anticipation that they will leave to go to school. This forces employees to work overtime outside of their availability. -Workers are not provided with the resources to do their job properly. Consistently uninformed on policy changes, and lack the resources to properly handle guest complaints. -Communication is contradictory at times; HR will tell one team a set of policies and management another. -High turnover rate means there's a constant need to train new staff
