Pros

Interpersonally, Chartio is a fantastic place to work -- my manager listens to me and supports my work. The people I work with on and off my team are responsive and care deeply about their work. From a technical perspective, Chartio's infrastructure is healthy and stable. We have a great and quick code review process, reasonably simple infrastructure (all codified with IaC) and an equitable, well-tuned on-call. Work life balance rocks, and a tip in the wrong direction (towards working more than you should) will usually trigger some helpful and wholesome questions from your manager (what's taking up your time, how can we optimize systems to reduce load on you, etc.).

Cons

B2B BI means that there's sometimes an odd blend of large-customer, very hands-on support mixed with very general feature releases. Leadership is fairly strong; it feels like over the past year some feelings of reach exceeding grasp have given way to more practical goals from leads with skills to attain them; sometimes the old attitude occasionally rears its head.

Pros

Smart team with a lot of talent and a fun environment to work in. Strong product with the potential to make a big difference in the market. The CEO does not follow your typical Silicon Valley arrogant stereotype. He is a genuinely nice person who cares about the people who work for him, but can also make difficult decisions to move the organization forward. The new leadership team has a lot of passion and experience to take the company to the next level and the team is already having a positive impact on culture. Do not shy away from the company due to some of the vocal negativity of disgruntled former employees.

Cons

Recent (and overdue) changes in the leadership team have resulted in a few disgruntled employees and reviews, but the company is already seeing the positive effects of these changes.
