Pros

Remote first organization and flex Friday

Cons

This company is failing in four key areas: leadership, product, customer experience, company culture Leadership: - Egocentric CEO who would rather throw employees under the bus than admit his product is not stable - Senior leadership is disorganized and breeds a culture of finger pointing Product: - The product as a whole is incredibly buggy, new features are rolled out without addressing previous bugs, leading to a never ending backlog of issues - In order to benefit from the full capabilities of the product, end users are expected to learn the CEO’s home-grown programming language (CQL), which most customers are unable to comprehend - The software is sold as turn-key but most customers spend months and months trying to implement Customer Experience: - Customers are becoming extremely frustrated by the lack of addressing existing platform bugs, leading to increasing churn - Senior leadership will publicly blame the customer experience team for churn, instead of looking inward at the true cause of customer dissatisfaction… the product Company Culture: - You’ll see LinkedIn posts about how amazing it is to work for ChartHop, yet employees are either leaving voluntarily in droves, or being exited

Pros

Product is wildly impressive and everyone at charthop has been so welcoming and kind as new joiner. Everyone seems to be here for the right reason and it is refreshing how aligned Leadership is to their customers and driving business outcomes.

Cons

Nothing yet, I would love to see Onboarding eventually back in person vs Virtual but I know that would only make sense when the time is right with many teams calendars.

Pros

- Fantastic, transparent culture. CEO openly shares company KPIs to the company, giving insight into company health (Stats like burn rate, revenue metrics, retention etc.). - Seeks feedback or questions from company population weekly to continue to improve and share knowledge. - Amazing work life balance. Management encourages taking time off, and they do by example. The company encourages folks live their lives while remaining dedicated to the cause and knows this leads to long term retention. - The platform is really really cool. It does take a while to master, but honestly, there are not very many products in the HR tech space that boast the magnificent UI + Configurability that ChartHop does.

Cons

- The company just went through a very challenging period, really putting the organization to the test. 4 sizeable RIFs took place over a 1.5 year period, and the company really scaled back and revisited its finances and burn rate. However, targets have since been recalibrated and the company has stabilized and successfully pivoted to a new product offering, HRIS. There are clear signs of growth and it will now take place at a much more steady, organic pace which bodes well for the future.
