Pros

In England, a lot of Team Members are very nice. I only stayed as long as I did because the company has a great mission. It taught me a valuable lesson, namely that the people you work with and, in particular, the manager you have, in this case the CEO, have a greater impact on how much you enjoy your work than the project itself.

Cons

I felt belittled and I had no ownership of my work. I was always being micromanaged. In the end, the culture merely devolved into the CEO rewarding her favourite employees in a popularity contest. There was no structure to the way in which work was being given to me and I always had to wait until the CEO returned from her many business trips to continue with my work as she insisted on having to be involved in every person's work. In my role there was no actual middle management allowed so there was no chance of career progression or extra responsibility either. The CEO has established a work-hard, play-hard culture; however, you will feel excluded from the culture if you don't want to be one of the people who work late or early and drink constantly. It would be toxic, chaotic, and unrewarding to describe it in three words. The organization used to have various characteristics when it was more modest however these days everybody is very overwhelmed and looks despondent a ton of the time. With the exception of the CEO and COO, they have lost all of the originals, so I assume everyone left for the same reason.

Pros

Employees share a great common drive and care for people with Parkinson’s

Cons

CEO is very egotistical, she is running the company to fuel her own ego and making decisions not in the benefit of the people with Parkinson’s or the company. C.O.O is a young guy that she has chosen so that she can further manipulate the company to benefit herself.
