Good for the CV as the lack of processes and systems means you are doing work that would usually be reserved for those Senior level wages.
Cons
Certas is part of DCC, because DCC is just an investment company, they fundamentally have no idea how to operate a company and lack the internal knowledge to be able to hire technical staff - some really strange hirings of Directors.

The best thing about working for Certas is that they are forever making people redundant, so you likely won't have to endure the management team for very long anyway.

Poor leadership ruins the role
The day-to-day work itself is manageable, but the leadership in the National Stock Management and Operations Support department makes it a toxic place to work. The Manager is a textbook micromanager with zero people skills, making it impossible to work with any autonomy. To make matters worse, the Assistant Manager is a bully who creates a hostile environment. I cannot recommend working under this specific leadership team.
The pay is poor and only just about scrapes minimum wage. The low salary is absolutely not worth the stress that comes with the job.

Some excellent training including the Empower course for Managers. Lots of growth across the business following acquisitions and expansion into new sectors like Renewable energy.

Can be inconsistent leadership in pockets of the business. Career development varies across the teams depending on where you are.
