Pros

Founded by Joe & Lee Cerrell (both retired in 2008)over 40 years ago...amazing people to work for! Semi-annual company retreats for team building, along with many after-work happy hours. Many opportunities to meet local & state government officials.

Cons

Owners lack management experience and are too involved in office politics. 1 particular owner is too involved in her own pursuit of glory and fame to care about the company state of affairs. This person I believe has been responsible for the gradual downfall and downsizing of the firm. Posting to social media sites, gossiping, and making personal calls, is a great part of some of their staff's daily routine during the work day, obviously due to poor supervisory staff.

Pros

The company has a reputation with movers and shakers in Los Angeles County. There are many interesting projects and clients. When going to events tied to the city or running into folks at elected official offices, mentioning you work there brings recognition. Lee and Joe Cerrell (co-founders) were well respected by their work in local government within LA County.

Cons

Coworkers can be nosy and disingenuous. Having disagreements with certain members of staff, management or the Chairman/CEO Hal Dash can lead to a lot of emotional and mental stress. Best way to navigate this environment is to focus on professional growth and don't get attached to work friendships. Bad and egotistical executives can linger for a long time because they generate money and bring business for the company with their networks. These people can be rude, immoral, and right down unethical. It certainly takes a lot for them to be removed or disciplined if they're generating revenue for the company. Disingenuous staff is often seen hanging around these bad executives for social capital. These execs and staff bully both subtly and directly other staff members.
