Pros
I had a great team of people that I worked with. It is unfortunate that the company let us all go.
Cons
While working here, my team and I spearheaded the website and brand redesign. After succeeding, a manager at a subsidiary company swooped in and took credit. After being put in charge of our team, they continually promoted and enforced an unwise marketing strategy and pushed the team into launching counterintuitive initiatives. After many times of raising our concerns to them, upper management, and HR, we were ignored without any form of conflict resolution. It was evident that management were blind to current best practices and unwilling to change. No other department was willing to confront the major gap that existed between marketing and management. Pretty soon, it became clear that the person they put in charge of us was trying to get rid of us. They hired a new member at their location while the rest of the team worked altogether in another location. Then, after our state issued a stay-at-home order due to COVID-19, management and HR refused to allow us to work from home despite that we were legally obligated to do so. After hearing about a link to our location from a confirmed case of Coronavirus that the company kept quiet, the team decided to self-quarantine at home without pay until we knew that we had not been infected. After returning to work, the whole team was let go due to "a financial decision by upper management". The person that they put over us and the team member hired at the other location were kept on. This company displays a pattern of disregard for its employees' expertise and well-being. Management lacks the ability to change and continually promotes a general atmosphere of fear. My advice would be to avoid working here because there is very little job security and very bent, feeble-minded people in charge.
