Pros

- flexible, remote work culture, and senior leadership is trying hard to develop DEI and diversity initiatives - good work life balance and tackling an important mission is very obvious and well-known across the company - HR actually knows who you are

Cons

- little career growth and lack of career development - salary is a bit low, and company silos exist though this is changing, though slowly - technology is not as seamless or not enough support given to staff and clients - staff seems understaffed

Pros

Mission-driven, passionate staff, great office location.

Cons

As with any nonprofit, always more work than staff to do it.

Pros

Some really nice and cool young people work here.

Cons

Hierarchical management system with no opportunities for advancement. The CEO has been accused of fraud at a previous job and somehow managed to become CEO of this organization with no connection to the addiction issue. There seems to be a Catholic connection with him and some board members. It's very strange. I feel guilty about asking anyone to donate to the organization previously. They are so removed from real people who are struggling and have no idea how to impact those people. Their senior management consists mainly of lawyers in a time when we're trying to un-do the criminal aspect of drug use and promote a public health approach. Doesn't make a lot of sense.
