Pros

You get accessories at dealer cost! Wow, I guess.

Cons

The Regional Directors are very good at hyping their employees up by sending out 100 positivity emails a day to keep people around. I think the bosses know it can be very stressful so they try to keep you on the right track mentally however, it's hard to remain positive when you have the odds against you. It is 100% commission and you do have the opportunity to make a good income, but it is up to you to make sure you don't loose everything you've worked hard for. The commission is split 50/50 among you as a business partner and the big dogs. However you are on a shared selling system so if you and 2 other reps are working, technically YOUR not getting the entire 50%. Your 50% is divided among however many people are on the share working with you. If a customer decides to start a new line of service with Verizon and their account goes delinquent after 6 months because they haven't paid their bill, you as the rep will be held responsible for the COST OF THE DEVICE in less the customer returns the phone back to you. The cost is divided among however many people were on the share. This is why Cellular Sales strongly advises you do your Callbacks to avoid loss equipment cost and to make sure the customer is happy with their phone. If you are not calling customers every week and following up with them every 30 days, this is not the job for you. If you are not comfortable with the fact that you can be charged out for phones that never get returned, this is not the job for you. This is a commission based job so some days you will not make anything! You can work a 12 hour shift some days and not make anything! If you don't like that idea, this is not the job for you! After each phone sale you are responsible for uploading the proper documentation for that sale. If those documents are not uploaded or if certain documents are missing, the workers in the HR department will restrict your sales permission, meaning you can not sale to customers nor be shared on any sales until you fix the issues. The women in HR are not very pleasant. They think because they sit behind a computer all day they can be belittle people. They make the reps feel like they are bothering them. I just think HR alone can drive someone up the wall. Cellular Sales is not a micro managed orginaztion so they have people in place called Team Leads. These are the people who are responsible for giving you training and guidance and are there to help you succeed. Unfortunately not all people have your best interest at heart. Some team leaders are very competitive and will schedule themselves shifts with heavier traffic. Some team leaders have their "people picked" and will schedule their favorites the heavier traffic days as well while you begin to notice that you may frequently get the slower shifts majority of the time. I will let you know now that if you mention this down the line as an issue, your team leader as well as your Rregional Directors will tell you that your source of income has NOTHING to do with the way you are scheduled. They will ask how often are you doing your callbacks and if your informing your customers about promotions and sales. Those things are important, I'm not saying that they aren't, however, were not selling to invisible people that walk through those doors. Now if your team lead is not willing to schedule themselves on the slower days, then I rest my case. Lets be fair across the board. I think everyone should have the ability to make a decent living however, when your team lead is going to continuously "copy and paste' your schedule month after month, it can become annoying. How do I know all of this? Because I personally experienced it.I had been with the company for over a year I ended each month with barley $2,500. That's not with taxes and whatever deacts that would be taken out. Remember you eat the cost for customers who've gone delinquent after 6 months if you never get the phones back. And how are you suppose to follow up with a customer when they haven't paid their Bill if their phone is turned off(scratches head). Nevertheless I would always notice the reps who were clearing over $4,000 each month and the ones who were clearing a little over $2,000 a month. My question is, if every store has it's slow days which is true, why is it that I kept noticing the SAME reps making money and the SAME reps not making money. Which leads me to believe that the scheduling plays a role. If the same people are always on top and the same people are always on the bottom then obviously the schedule isn't balanced here. But hey, what do I know right? If your thinking about working for this company I highly suggest to weight all your options first. In less your making the company money, your just a number on a board.
