Pros

First and foremost, I was extremely impressed with Cat5's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We immediately went into action and efficiently shifted the office work force to remote/work from home, which was/is still really amazing. It showed that the company cares about the safety and well-being of their employees. All in all, working from home has been very successful. The culture of the office is laid back and casual. When we're at the office, we can wear whatever we're comfortable in. There are a variety of free snacks and drinks at the office, and a cool break room with a gourmet coffee machine and even an espresso machine. They coordinate fun company events like Demolition Ball (you'll likely have to google that), Beer:30's, costume contests and much more. They do go out of their way to show appreciation for their employees however they can, and from what I have seen during my time here, that does extend to the warehouse workers as well. Working here was one of the best choices I've made. My favorite aspects are the people and the culture. No doubt that everyone who works here is extremely kind, welcoming and fun. I've made strong friendships here that undoubtedly will last a lifetime. The open office environment helps you build relationships, bond and stay in contact with your co-workers. The Slack app is also used for everyday communication between teams, which makes it really fun. When you work for a small company like Cat5, you feel valued. One of my favorite things about working here is that I can see the direct impact of the work I do, and it's a good feeling not only knowing you're directly contributing to the success of a company, but seeing it. Another thing I like about working at Cat5 is how easy it is to get in contact with and bond with our CEO & CTO. That's not something many people who work for large corporations can say. My managers are amazing, they're actually the best I've ever had. They're supportive, smart, helpful, funny and they care about me. I know can talk to my managers about anything, and again, that's something not everyone can say. There are opportunities for growth at Cat5, and they've made that clear to me. This is my first job out of college, and I've already grown and learned so much with their guidance and training. Some of my favorite benefits are the discounts on very well-known brands and free health insurance. There's also a healthy work-life balance, and taking time off to relax and recharge is strongly encouraged. There is definitely flexibility with my work schedule — if I need to run an errand or take a long lunch, it's never an issue. Regardless of whether you're working/applying at the office or warehouse, I highly recommend Cat5.

Cons

Some cons are no 401k matching or official maternity leave (you have to use/make sure you're signed up for Short Term Disability for that.) Those are both things that aren't currently offered, but would be so great to have. Who knows, those things might change in the long run! Another con is the location of the office, it's in Chesterfield and can be somewhat of a long drive depending on where you live/traffic/weather conditions. Of course, this isn't a huge issue right now since we're currently working from home. And typically, management is understanding if you're running late and you communicate it.
