Pros
The Case Foundation has endless opportunities thanks to their many strong connections. It's a small, energetic and smart team. They put a lot of themselves into the work and are very passionate about doing a great job. GREAT benefits including health (gym covered), breakfast available at work every day, treadmill desks, matching 401K, week off between Christmas and NYE, 3 weeks vacation depending on your role/level and decent salaries for the Foundation sector.
Cons
This is a small, family foundation so you should know the grantmaking isn't huge. The grantmaking directly reflects the thoughts and ideals of the Case family, and not necessarily what would be best for the sector or non-profit. The main focus of the organization always seemed to be what would continue to strengthen the family name and maintain their relevance. To me, it began to look much more like a communications firm than a Foundation trying to make a difference in the world. This is their prerogative, however, as someone focused on impact work, it was not the role I was looking for.
