Pros

Caroobi has a very very good culture. Everyone is very committed and people are funny, relaxed yet hard-working. Every time I entered the office, I felt inspired and in a good mood. I believe it's a very rare set-up, that in a company, you feel that you work with friends.

Cons

The office at times is very loud, chaotic and, at times, dirty, as certain people in management have veto'ed a dish washing machine (one of the few things I disagreed with).

Pros

The business model at seemed promising (also judging from the recent investment rounds ) therefore there is potential to grow from a junior position. However none of that matters if the atmosphere you work at is horrible.

Cons

One of the worst places I have ever worked. Let's go through some majors points when looking to starting a new job and my experience with each: 1. Salary My salary was initially very low, far below the average for my role. I was junior at the time I understood that...however a raise was promised to me after 3 months incase my work was proficient. 3 months later I was told to wait another 3 months...and so it went until the end of my employment. Many dull reasons were given for not giving the raise, none of them were constructive feedback on the actual work I was doing. If you walk in and get proposed the same "salary raise later" deal...get it in writing! 2. Work atmosphere Work life balance does not exist. The founders are very young and therefore very inexperienced in understanding what it means to be productive a company. Therefore output is preferred over actual results. Leaving before 9pm will get you flagged with management. At the end of every day you have to write a report to management what you have achieved. This policing creates a huge distrust between all departments. You get guilt tripped into staying longer while working unpaid over hours. On top the work atmosphere has a very frat locker room vibe to it. 3. Management HR does not protect you from being harassed as a women. Yes, there were cases where men got fired for harassment but that it even came to physical confrontation like that says something about a company. Overall the sexual harassment is felt very subtly but constant. An example would be the sales team constantly talking who they would bang, eyeing new women hires at interviews, and generally disrespecting and mansplaining towards female colleagues. People were fired quickly and quietly. In most cases there was very little warning or any feedback/off-boarding with people either quitting or being fired. This shows an utter disregard for any constructive feedback towards management. 4. Growth The company grew fast over the past years therefore some people got a chance to grow into a more senior role. However this growth in many cases happened out of necessity and out of stinginess/incompetence of the founders to hire someone professional and with experience for the job. This mismanagement of key position lead to inexperienced managers doing a poor job at facilitating growth. Furthermore it allowed the two founders to always have "yes sayers" bellow them who would not standup for themselves or their team when necessary. 5. Office facilities ex. Location/Interior Design etc Location of the office for most people will be way too far out the city. Long commutes are not at all accounted in when looking at your working hours. Office facilities are as cheap as they come. Overall not a very cozy, very dirty and with not many perks. In summary: You will hear from the founders that you will "work at a hyper growth startup with great potential to grow" this is all smoke and mirrors...In reality what this means is that you will be underpaid, overworked and in the end cast aside if you don't dance to the tune. Both founders started this not because they have a passion for cars, customer service, or caring for their product and customers...it is just to sell the company as fast as possible and make a profit. This attitude is felt very deeply within the product and the work atmosphere. Please do yourself a favour and don't even waste time on a job interview here... Important side note: On occasion I saw and heard of HR being directed to write fake positive reviews on sites such as this. Hence some positive reviews here. Majority of people that left this company have a very bad story to tell.
