Pros
It's Carnegie Hall and all the cache that comes with that. Free concert tickets and early access to purchase tickets for show that will surely sell out. The office is like something from a movie and the people by and large are great. When people move on, they move on to bigger and better things and having the CH name on your resume has a lot to do with that.
Cons
Working there was possibly the most racist experience of my life (and I'm from the south). The Directors are not kept in check at all and there is no system in place to whistle blow what comes across as blatant favoritism, racism, and sexism. There is no real desire to promote from within except for those who say 'yes' the most regardless of their actual abilities. The education arm is one that openly dislikes its own employees and to no surprise, experiences the highest rates of turnover. There is a lot of talk about diversity and inclusion yet this is not even attempted internally amongst its own staff.
