Pros

Any agency of this nature is hard to keep running with the slightest inconvenience causing a multitude of problems if a carer phones in sick after a night on the razzle. More often than not actually. But this one offers more than your average, including much better than average rates and support when required. This also includes paid travel time and fuel. Though, the pressures of BS staff calling because their car has blown up for the 10th time In a fortnight or they yet again have dysentery for at least the fifth time since last thursday causes much pressure on existing staff thus creating a vicious cycle. It ain't easy from all sides for sure but I would say this company is amazing but they should employ actual adults with responsibilities, this would at least create a stronger team, I am though talking about an age group of at least 30 and above.

Cons

These companies employ kids with no life or people experience

Pros

Meeting new clients and learning about their illnesses / Disabilities and forming a lovely bond with them.

Cons

Poor management, their communication skills are awful, full of attitude and they make issues out of anything which ends up ruining your day because you feel like you’ve done something wrong. They expect you to finish at a clients house at 8:45am and be at the next clients house at 8:30am.. they constantly refresh your rotas without informing you, and then it’s your fault if you miss a client. They claim it’s £10 per hour, but it doesn’t quite work out that way, they don’t calculate fuel costs properly either, they use google maps which doesn’t factor in road works etc so you’re using more fuel than they actually pay you. Some clients pay for this expensive care but don’t get much back. Poor communication like I said above, when a female client strictly requests a female carer to do personal care, CareService24 will almost always send out male carers which makes the clients feel awkward and upset (which management will know that). If you have an issue and try calling the management, they don’t answer and take a lifetime to reply back to WhatsApp messages. If you do manage to call them and they answer, you can hear all office staff laughing at you in the background because you’re put on loudspeaker. They don’t appreciate how hard their carers work and they take each and every one of us for granted. All I will say is that if my staff members were working 15 hour days I’d make sure I treated them with the upmost respect. There’s 2 cars-coordinators who are extremely rude and unprofessional which was the main reason I left CareService24.. I worked across all areas and almost every carer on a double up also mentioned these care coordinators and how bad they treat staff, and also the clients. Not one single client has a nice word to say about them. We can’t all be wrong? But I won’t mention any names, if you’re applying for CareService24 I’ll leave it for you guys to work out who they are and I really do wish you luck.
