Pros

To name a few: - Emphasis on D&I: The company takes this very seriously and provides training and holds open discussions on a monthly basis. - Fantastic culture: Some of the friendliest and smartest people I've ever worked with! - CarMax diligently lives by its values: Even in the worst of times (start of COVID for example), the company continued to live by its values and had the employees' backs. - Emphasis on work/life balance: CarMax built an environment of trust that enables you to thrive. - Emphasis on career growth: Monthly performance reviews, open communication and constructive feedback.

Cons

It was a bumpy road over the last two years with the pandemic and then a sudden growth in the car buying market. There were opportunities for better change management.

Pros

Remote work, first 2 weeks of the 2 month training, offers sick time before PTO rolls in

Cons

Little to no worklife balance, toxic positivity (like when they called the meeting about taking away our bonuses “exciting news” and tried to gaslight us as to why this was a good thing), extreme micromanagement, listening to our headsets constantly without us knowing, AI rating our metrics, unrealistic expectations, you basically do 4 jobs in one (at Carvana, appraisals / selling, financial applications and documents / EPUs, sales and customer service were ALL DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS.
