Pros
The benefits are decent. It's a steady job if you don't make any waves whatsoever. Flying under the radar is rewarded with job security. "Yes" men are rewarded handsomely. Appearances matter more than your actual capabilities or work product.
Cons
Dissent is not tolerated. Promotions have no apparent rhyme nor reason. Hard work and good jobs are not recognized. Very little promotions from within. If you are thinking of a career here other than sitting in the same position for twenty years and then collecting your retirement package (if the managers haven't fizzled it all away by then), your best bet would probably be to leave the company for a couple of years and then reapply for aposition in Senior Management. That seems to be the way, especially if during that time you can cozy up to some of the CG big-wigs on the golf courses.
