Pros
In some ways, Capco is the best company I've ever worked for. Good salary, better benefits than most American companies (thanks, UK mothership), recognizes hard work and usually rewards it. That's possibly more related to where I've worked previously than being exceptional, though. Independent of those factors, there's a bright thread of truly wonderful people here who are committed, hard-working, brilliant, and kind – folks who have been impactful mentors, become close friends, and who I hope will be part of my professional circle for the rest of my career.
Cons
I'd say the majority of the people I've worked with are fine, but there's a significant dark thread too. The undercurrent of drama, politics, and power games is poisonous. It's well known who has favorites and protects toxic employees who know how to play the game without doing any real work. You can try to minimize interaction with them, but the higher you get the harder that is, and I think it's driven some of the best up and coming leaders away who were having, or would've had, a substantial positive impact. Also, its consulting – work/life balance is atrocious, exacerbated by the fact that every project I've worked on they've cut time or resources to try and come in cheaper without actually changing the scope, so delivery folks just move from one fire to the next and those scoping the work rarely have to deal with the late night and weekend consequences.
