Pros
I can't think of a single Pro for working for this company.
Cons
I worked at this company for several years, and unfortunately there were many ongoing issues that made the environment difficult and unsustainable long term.
The culture is extremely micromanaged. Productivity is constantly tracked, and employees are frequently questioned if they are unable to meet ever-changing expectations. Reps are encouraged to document every aspect of their daily tasks and routines so replacements can easily step in if someone leaves, which creates a very replaceable and transactional feeling.
Job expectations change constantly, with additional responsibilities continuously added to employees’ workloads. It becomes nearly impossible to stay ahead or feel accomplished because priorities and initiatives are always shifting. Employees are also regularly pulled from their actual work responsibilities to attend meetings and trainings for initiatives that often never become part of the role.
The company prioritizes hiring and promoting management rather than investing in the employees doing the day-to-day work. Many managers appeared underqualified or unprofessional, and communication between leadership was highly inconsistent. One employee would be told one thing while another employee received completely different instructions, leading to confusion and frustration across teams.
There is also a noticeable “boys club” culture within upper management. Advancement opportunities for women did not always feel based solely on performance or merit.
Work-life balance is not respected. Employees are expected to participate in associations and company-related activities outside normal working hours. Reps are also expected to maintain social media activity for the company multiple times per week, further blurring the line between work and personal time.
The company often overlooks the importance of frontline employees such as reps, showroom staff, and operations teams, despite these being the people who directly impact customers and daily business success. Instead, significant attention, bonuses, and rewards are focused on upper management.
While I was employed there was a constant turnover. I was asked multiple times if I know anybody to fulfill open opportunities. I never had any recommendations due to I would never encourage anyone to work at this company
Additionally, the company waste financial opportunities on vacations, where top managers and top-performing reps are rewarded with separate vacations with the owner of the company. Poor use of company funds across the board.
