Pros

I have been with Caltrol for two great years! I’ve had the opportunity to take on new challenges and grow both personally and professionally. I genuinely feel cared about and supported by my co-workers and leadership. Our culture is one of open communication and collaboration. I am comfortable sharing ideas and feedback and feel my contributions are valued. Because Caltrol cares about work-life balance, I have a flexible hybrid schedule. It is a really nice mix of working from home and going into the office. Working at Caltrol also fills me with a sense of purpose. As a recruiter, I have the privilege of connecting with a diverse range of individuals. It’s incredibly rewarding to match candidates with roles where they can thrive and contribute meaningfully. I love knowing that the work I do has a direct impact on someone’s career journey while being able to contribute to Caltrol’s goals. Caltrol is an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). We are all employee-owners. We are eligible for free company stock and Quarterly Profit Sharing (quarterly bonuses) on top of a 401k with a company match. We also offer some non-traditional benefits such as legal insurance, pet insurance, tuition reimbursement, professional development assistance, wellness benefits, and a student loan repayment match program. I am personally utilizing the student loan repayment match program. I do not have to worry about my student loans being paid!! I have also been able to take advantage of our professional development assistance by attending conferences, seminars, continuous learnings, etc. The wellness benefit is amazing! Caltrol reimburses you up to $500 p/year to spend on your wellness. The best part about Caltrol is our people. We have some of the most talented, awe-inspiring, and supportive people. I feel a sense of belonging. Caltrol is my company. Caltrol is my home. I highly recommend Caltrol to anyone looking for a supportive environment where their contributions are valued.

On health insurance: we hear you, and we know it's a real concern for a lot of people right now. The reality is that employers across the board have faced significant premium increases at renewal, and many have passed those costs directly to employees or reduced coverage to manage them. We've worked hard to avoid that. We offer three Anthem medical plans with PPO access, paired with HSA options to help with out-of-pocket costs, and we've prioritized keeping employee contributions manageable amid the market pressure. We also offer access to free concierge care, so employees have a resource to help navigate their healthcare when they need it. We recognize the critical role that mentorship and onboarding play in setting employees up for success. We are actively investing in additional resources, more structured onboarding experiences, and meaningful mentorship opportunities to better support employees throughout their journey. Regarding compensation, we regularly review our practices to ensure alignment with market trends and internal equity, and your feedback reinforces the importance of this ongoing effort. Caltrol is dedicated to fostering a culture of open communication, and we value all feedback. Our employee-owners have direct lines of communication with their managers, leadership, and our HR team to ensure their voices are heard and supported. In addition, we offer multiple opportunities throughout the year for employee-owners to provide anonymous feedback through surveys and other channels. We remain committed to listening.
