Pros
Healthcare industry provides some additional meaning to work.
Cons
Overall I had an impression that this is a financial operation, not patient care. The company acquires and resells facilities.
There are no mature processes in the company, so all work is deferred to people to figure out. Relying on heroics to keep the lights on.
They provided misleading job description that was supposed to play to my strengths, but it was just fighting operational fires, with the literal and explicit expectation to be available for it 24x7, with no boundaries, and all work being urgent all the time. Basic math clearly showed that the demanded work can't be done with the allocated resources.
Fastest burnout I ever experienced, all the factors contributing to it. Weekend work is the norm and expected. Understaffed, no team, no collaboration, no support, no processes, no resources. Strong finger pointing and blame culture, no process reviews. No strategy to ever change the state and no response to the proposed changes. High turnover.
Health benefits only start after 3 months of employment.
