Pros
Business seems to make sense, in an industry that needs something like Cadre. Good pay, very nice health benefits.
Cons
Cadre recently laid off a lot of its workforce. Why aren't there any negative reviews here? Surely at least one person would be a little disgruntled. At least a single three-star review from someone? Anyone? Well, one reason for the lack of reviews which I have observed is that severance payments are conditioned on signing an agreement which contains: (a) a release of all legal claims against the company (b) a non-disparagement clause. (c) a confidentiality clause, such that you cannot disclose that the agreement exists, except to your spouse and your lawyer. I guess the Release of Claims is fine, if you're not planning a lawsuit. But if you sign, you can agree to never say anything bad about a variety of high profile people associated with the company, like co-founder Jared Kushner, and your concerns that he is a corrupting influence on the well-being of the country. You signed that right away. Was it a bad idea for a notable actor to use blackface and an Indian accent in his ad? Too bad; you are legally prohibited from opining that he's a racist. Do you think that there is dangerous precedent in which rich and powerful men abuse confidentiality agreements to silence women they have harassed, and that this whole matter is very unfortunate for Cadre to be involved in? Keep it to yourself. You have agreed to this. What's more, you're legally forbidden from telling anyone why. I could say more, but for now, I think that will suffice.
