Thank for you sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience working here wasn’t a positive one. With respect to the relationship you describe with your manager, we hope you addressed this with HR or through our Compliance & Ethics Helpline. As far as your other comments, our retirement program is designed to be highly competitive and help our employees successfully plan for retirement. We are pleased to offer both a fully-funded cash balance pension plan with a 3-year vesting schedule and a 401(k) plan with a company match and 5-year vesting schedule. Our employees vest in a portion of CME’s contributions each year, but are always fully vested in their personal contributions. We also want to assure you that termination decisions are never made on the basis of vesting schedules in any benefit program.
Strong engineering culture with exposure to large-scale financial systems, distributed architecture, and production-critical platforms. Good opportunities to learn modern cloud, performance, and reliability engineering.
Cons
Bureaucracy and internal politics can sometimes outweigh technical merit. Employees who take ownership or challenge inefficiencies may face delayed recognition, unclear growth paths, and shifting expectations, leading to frustration and disengagement over time.
