Pros
New President appears to have much better leadership skills and manages as more of a professional than the rest of his staff (inherited). He recently made a change at CFO position that was badly needed.
Cons
Leadership skills of executive and senior level managers is almost non-existent. Most are only concerned about their "turf" or they think the way to advance is to try to appease everyone. This company lacks central direction and a course forward. They also refuse to centralize functions which would eliminate headaches (IT) and create major cost savings and standardization. CMC does not appear to understand corporate risk at all for a Fortune 500 company. Instead they are stuck in the past and still operate like a much smaller company. Unfortunately, it will probably take a merger/buy out to change any of this.
