Pros

Job role is good and with this experience you can easily get a job in bigger companies. Good exposure to technical knowledge and skills

Cons

Everything from the marketing team is flawed after the advent of unfair inheritance of authority or a privileged kid. Leads and managers are not supportive unlike they used to be before which made the team think Anto was perfectly holding the team together and a right leader. Everyone is so keen about saving their jobs as questioning the management would put their job at stake. Herd mentality and bias is sucking big time. Lots of unnecessary pressure and exorbitant call numbers with no proper process or automation in place. Mostly underpaid and no where near what a smaller startup compensate. No other benefits, WFH showed their true colours. Miniscule incentives when the team is performing at its peak, unbelievable. Almost zero learning and monotonous with every day you will hate yourself for doing this and being part of this team. Zero $ spent on process optimization or automation for marketing efforts which puts bde's to do everything manually. No respect for individuals. The managers, especially the senior one behaves as if he owns the company and one such chameleon, an unfit for the position he is holding. Eying to replace Anto's place, he is stooping all time low with almost no dignity, undermining the efforts and no empathy for the fellow team members. I really feel bad to vent this out as this was not the case when I started my tenure. Those were the days that reflected the true CG's culture.

This pains us but then again we would like to appreciate your effort and great deal of time taken to craft this feedback. Although we appreciate your sentiments; we strongly refuse your certain views. CG-VAK is currently in its 25th year, over these years the company have seen lots of success and hardships, strong and frail partnerships, different Leadership, talents, teams. One of the major learning gathered over the years is the realization of the fact that Change is inevitable and Continual Learning is the key to accomplishments. Just like rest of the world this Pandemic was uninvited change for us and just like other companies we were not prepared to address the situation immediately. However, through trial and errors we evolved and took measured approaches to safeguard employees and drive Business. All this was possible because of the support and resilience shown by our partners and employees; these are our employees who stayed with the company for our Values and not Favoritism. We agree with you that there is more for us to do when it’s comes to automation and digitalization of process, we have successfully set few systems in place and are continuously trying to implement more. Even with the current systems, a majority of our Marketing team have performed their daily job requirement and exceeded their targets effortlessly. We set targets that are practicable and have always appreciated with tangible and intangible benefits when an employee achieves or exceed their target. On occasion when they fail to achieve their target, company and members never held them as failure but seen it as an opportunity to improve. Lastly regarding leadership and authority, we too resonate with your admiration for our Marketing Leader who over the years through his excellent leadership have established a strong the sense of values and purpose amongst the team members . Having said that we realize that each Leader is unique and so is their leadership style, managing change takes time and require more planning therefore we are always looking to evaluate and improve our Leadership style. Pros

CGVAK is a great place to start your career and reach heights. Good learning experience if you are a fresher. Started my career as Senior Developer and currently Project Manager. Put down your best effort and you will be rewarded with exciting growth opportunites. Onsite opprotunities - I have been to Canada twice and currently in US, never thought this would happen in my career. Opportunity to learn new technologies. One of the best and supportive Management. Good work culture.

Pros

I worked for CG-VAK for almost 18 years since my graduation in 1996, the first 11 years in India and the last 7 years in the USA. I moved on from CG-VAK in 2014 due to personal reasons. But I can say without a doubt that this company helped me to groom myself as a professional and to become who I am today. 1) The end-to-end software development exposure you get here will enable you to work in any fast-paced cutting edge technology company in the world. Even the guys who has posted negative reviews here have agreed to this fact. 2) The work environment here is very friendly and people treat you like family. 3) Everyone in the management is easily accessible. They stick to their promises and you need to hold your end of the bargain up. 4) I loved this company for recognizing my efforts. Your growth is unquestionable if you have the right attitude. 5) I felt the salary was on par with any similar sized software development company in Coimbatore. Even if some people say otherwise, you'll learn the tricks of the trade better here.

Cons

Of course there were a few occasions when things went awry and made me feel that I was in the wrong place. But it tends to happen in any such long time relationship. What else can I ask for other than a strong foundation for my career?
