Pros
No micromanaging Work-life balance/ great hours
Cons
San Antonio is a small office that is VERY tight knit with total lack of communication to be successful team. Very individualized atmosphere with absolutely no team camaraderie. No branch or individual direction, no real training and severely complacent. On the executive side, the one and only gal has been there for several years. Even when she is training new hires, she is hardly there and comes and goes as she pleases with no communication to the new person. Unless it happens to be a few days before a VP comes in, that will be the only time you will know of anything she may be working on, and who knows if that info is even true. There have been several hires under her that "have not worked out" (she will even tell you this in your initial interview) and she still remains the managing director of executive recruiting. She is absolutely an in-office issue for anyone on the executive team looking to be successful. She hides given information from the team for her own success. Work here if you are okay with being complacent, having no organization, no new business development and research strategy, and not ever knowing what is going on with total lack of communication with your direct report. If you want to be a successful executive recruiter look somewhere else. This branch is not looking to communicate, expand, grow or attempt to create a footprint in San Antonio. You will just be the next hire "that didn't work out."
