A lot of turnover and not a lot of opportunity - Technical Recruiter CEI Employee Review

Pros

Upper management was great with understanding you need breaks, and they don't expect you to be at your desk 24/7. Good team atmosphere, team members will go to lunch together every Friday. Dress attire is casual. They don't expect you to come in dressed to the nines since you are not doing face to face meetings with clients.

Cons

Some management were nice and easy to work with, but they do not provide a lot of opportunity. They only have one client to work with from a recruiting standpoint and the "best" roles to work on with the best sales relationship always went to the more tenured people. New recruiters are expected to come in and work VMS roles mostly and get deals that way. If you are lacking in getting the activity on sometimes impossible roles, you will be stuck working that role for 18+ days until you get subs to it. Newer people are set up to fail unless you have a close relationship with management. If not, you're scraping job boards for activity to log. Because there is only one client, they don't expect the same level of activity as a some of the work horse recruiting firms, but you are still expected to make things happen with a little to none to work with. They send out "call numbers" every day to monitor how often you're on the phone. Although management isn't breathing down your neck directly, they are doing it in more subtle ways to use against you as time goes on. They are cheap! Salaries are PITIFUL. No laptops, and rarely ever provide comped lunches or events for employees. They grasp on to recent college grads, or people looking to get out of a previous toxic work environment. Yes it is "commission based" but when the opportunity is lacking you are basically screwed. Turnover is so high because people realize that they can make more money literally anywhere else. The people who were there 4+ years love it - but that is because they get the most opportunity. If you like high volume staffing with loads of opportunity, this is not the place for you. You will be stuck on the same 3 rotating roles with the same client for months hoping to get a bite.

Pros

Recruiting Director is so domineering that you don't have to wonder what is expected of you.

Cons

Have become AI obsessed. KPI's continue to increase as they believe AI is a magic pill. Trying so hard to be like other major recruiting agencies that they've forgot what had made them different.
