Pros

Salary, working with a variety of patients, wearing scrubs

Cons

Threatening work environment, deconstructive criticism, lack of concern for quality vs quantity, lack of consistent training/expectations, owner micromanaged and didn't trust staff, disrespected staff, made impulsive decisions without communicating directly to staff member. Dr. Mikhail had other people do his "dirty work" with no room for negotiation. He has certain people he values, causing everyone else to operate out of fear. He assumes newer people are making mistakes but in reality, with proper training, leadership, and support, there wouldn't be an issue. New evaluators are used as a scapegoat for problems and as soon as you start working, people earn you "don't do this, or you won't be here very long." The evaluators are asked to do "anything and everything," never to be seen sitting down, even if working on something on the computer for work. There is nowhere for an evaluator to be, so we were constantly having to move so "Doc didn't find us." We were timed from the time a patient checked in and expected to complete an evaluation in a limited amount of time. We were expected to have it perfected prior to calling a provider in, so they could save all our work as their own note. Often, they did not read it or communicate before locking it. The DSM discusses a proper psychiatric evaluation taking 30-45 minutes, but does not include the HPI. The staff is rude to patients, rushes them, and often does not pay attention to key elements from the time the patient spent with the evaluator. When it comes to telemedicine, he has taken on too much, when he is not ready to do so, causing the quality of care to suffer tremendously.
