Pros

The technicians are wonderful. They're incredibly personable, kind, and lovely to be around. It is not difficult to build working relationships with them.

Cons

The contract that is signed stating one's hours is not close to what one will work. It's stated in the interview that there's an opportunity for overtime, however it's a requirement. The study/surgical schedule requires that technicians stay at least two hours OT every work day. The salary is not competitive. Communication between management and higher up is very poor. Technicians have stated that the schedule cannot continue as is, especially after employees have left and the company is now short staffed; weekend studies are now being added (with no flex time in consideration) on a regular basis. Study directors have not been disciplined regarding being disrespectful in the workplace. There is no checks and balance in this work environment.

Pros

-There are many people who are willing to train you in anything you need/want -Coworkers are generally some of the nicest and smartest people -The animals are well taken care of. Techs all show that they care about animal welfare. -Knowlegeable study directors

Cons

-MANAGEMENT. Management cares little for the mental health of their employees, the main focus for the CEO and VP is profits. -There is clear favoritism of people. For the vet staff manager, depending on their mood minor errors are brushed off or turned into a whole issue. -You will more than likely have more pizza parties than actual raises -Clique environment -Supervisors expect perfection from their techs. If/when you mess up, depending on how much you are liked the reprimand may not actually be proportional to the error. -They like to say they try to hire from within the company first when filling positions, but it seems they prefer hiring outside people instead.
