The company, being mid-sized, unfortunately, provides limited room for personal and professional growth. Opportunities for career advancement seem restricted, with most hardworking individuals progressing to the role of project managers at best. Moving up the ladder appears to be highly competitive and requires individuals to be explicitly vocal about their career aspirations. One significant challenge is the lack of a clear and structured process for career progression. This absence of guidelines makes it difficult for employees to understand the steps and criteria for moving forward in their careers. A more transparent approach to advancement would benefit both employees and the company. Additionally, the busy nature of the workplace makes mentorship a challenging aspect. With everyone caught up in their tasks, finding time for meaningful mentoring interactions is a struggle. Establishing a more supportive environment for mentorship could greatly contribute to the professional development of the team. Furthermore, the traditional approach of selecting leaders and managers based solely on sales performance is still prevalent, reflecting an old-school mentality. While sales are undoubtedly important, a more diverse and holistic approach to leadership selection would be beneficial.
