Pros
So far, this has been a pretty rewarding and engaging place to work. I would say C4 has the most formal training curriculum of any place I have worked for. I’ve learned more about marketing here in six months than I did in all of college. C4 is fast growing and has a lot going for it, good location, great employees and promising tech. They offer a mix of services and technology but they compete with Boston’s tech’s scene for employees so there’s lots of fun company perks. Management seems to be very transparent and genuinely care about us. I would say they handled the pandemic really well. The office is outside of Boston off 128 and it’s a great reverse commute. We get to manage our own clients and come up with our own strategy and there are a bunch of people on the team we can go to with questions.
Cons
I would say work life balance is the hardest part. It’s really hard to get everything done in the time allotted. I’m not working weekends but I also don’t really take a lunch every day or sometimes I eat through meetings. It’s not the end of the world but but some of this stuff could probably be automated. It also seems like sometimes the bad work flows downstream to the newer guys. Once you have been here for about nine months, it gets much better. Clients are more important than anything else here.
