Pros
- BuiltWorlds is a very exciting growth-stage company with a concept and business plan really striving to make a difference in a tech-emerging industry starving for innovation implementation.
- All-around wonderful and fun people on the staff!
- Regardless of position, each employee is an integral part of what BuiltWorlds is building as each individual's work has a direct impact on the business and everyone's footprint is made clearly visible.
- Everyone has a voice that is not only heard, but also taken into consideration as is necessary for an emerging company.
- Growth within your role is encouraged and there is a strong flow of communication within each department as well as cross-departmentally.
- Leadership has done a good job of increasingly making it a further point to recognize and reward for success.
-Leadership continues to make great strides in making it a point to build further personal relationships with each member of the company, and to understand everyone's overall satisfaction with their roles and the company as a whole.
Cons
- As a progressing company, there are obvious obstacles associated with rapid company growth and/or expectational growth: still a lack of experience/infrastructure/resources to promote said growth, policies that are being developed based on agile business decisions, and, hence, not solidified, etc. (NOTE: I view these much less as "cons" and much more as the reason we all come to work at a startup--to change, grow, and develop rapidly (and most importantly: to be a proactive, actionable, and vocal part of that growth).
- There are still some departmental needs to be shored up in terms of goals and responsibilities, and once cleared, will clear the pathway for additional hires that will be more set up for on-boarding and success.
- If you are someone who needs direction at every point in the day and do not feel comfortable running with your own projects - it could be a bit of a challenge for you at BuiltWorlds.
