Privacy concerns prevent us from directly addressing the details of any matter of this type. We can state only generally in response that the issue was investigated at the highest levels of management. Unfortunately, we were first advised 6 months after the incident occurred and 3 months after one of the parties involved had left our employ. Thus, we could not have addressed the issue directly at the time it occurred, and had to rely upon extensive conversations long after the fact. Unfortunately, privacy considerations barred us from sharing more freely the investigative details, resulting in this employee feeling that the incident was under-investigated.
We can state definitively and without reservation that BuildingLink does not tolerate sexual assault or harassment of any kind or form in our workplace and takes workplace safety and security and maintaining a supportive work environment for all, very seriously. Future potential employees should know that we do not tolerate coercive behavior or promulgation of any kind, whether sexual, religious, financial, or political, and even including the verbal imposition of personal beliefs or solicitation of non-work needs that could make a co-worker feel imposed upon.
