Pros

The daily schedule and hours are flexible.

Cons

They are desperate for employees, they will say anything to get you on the door. There is no training, and management is non responsive to questions or asking for help. It's a difficult position because you are working with an underserved community and can't help them because you don't have the tools. They care more about looking productive than actually being productive.

Pros

The children, if you love working with special needs children and assisting them to learn and want a family friendly work schedule (if you have school age children) it's good.

Cons

Tension in the classroom atmosphere, among other staff, making your day stressful and way to much drama from coworkers. Hire inexperienced staff and teachers to just fill the spots. Low pay even if you have 10 years experience. No staff support and they talk down to you (like you're a student). It's supposed to be all about the children and what's best- it's not.
