      Pros

      Great hands-on training from management, great starting point in your career, easy transition to the "real world" from college, and pretty easy to make some friends. My manager was awesome and did an amazing job creating a great work experience for everyone.

      Cons

      A lot but just to point out a few highlights: - Executive management brought us back into the office in June of 2020 when COVID cases were spiking even though everyone was doing fine working remotely. They did close the office until 3 people had gotten COVID putting 60+ workers at risk. -Insane culture. I had a lot of cringy moments at this company where people were telling me they "loved me" constantly, forcing conversations that didn't need to be forced, and saying good job after almost everything. -Culture was a mask for low pay, poor benefits, and LOW commissions. Recruiters you have warned the commission structure here is by far one of the worst I have ever seen in my life. I was not a top performer at Brooksource at all and made $50K in my second year. After working at another agency I made $50K in commission alone in my first 8 months. -A lot of "boys will be boys" and "frat boy" culture. Take that as you will.

The pandemic was a difficult situation for all of us to navigate, as we had never experienced something like this before and we were eager to get back to our in-office company culture. We also wanted to provide our new hires with the most authentic Eight Eleven experience they could possibly have, even though they were joining our team right in the midst of a pandemic. Regardless, we are continuing to follow CDC guidelines and take precautions when necessary, and the health and wellness of our employees will remain a priority. We always aim to recognize the areas we can improve, and have many conversations about this behind the scenes. We value your feedback and appreciate your honest notes.       Pros

      This company relies on growth from within, so if they see potential in you, they will help you get to that next level. There is always a huge support system around you at all times.

      Cons

      The amount of support can quickly turn into micromanaging, and promoting from within is great until you start protecting those who earned their title sheerly through tenure or a 'good ol' boy' system. Also, the pay is abysmal. They pay you the absolute minimum in salary and the rest is based off of commission, so even the best reps can lose everything on a clients whim, going from making almost $200K a year to $30K in the blink of an eye. They say they have protections in place for that but that's only for the people who earn the company millions of dollars for 4 consecutive years. Also, there really is no such time as a work/life balance here. They throw parties to make you think you do, but if you are out on PTO you will still be judged by your KPI's while you were out, and they expect you to pick up the phone, regardless of if you are on vacation or at your grandfathers funeral. "Still gotta keep you numbers up!"
