Good culture and work-life balance, but unclear progression - Account Manager Bridebook Employee Review

My experience at Bridebook has been really positive. The culture is one of the biggest highlights for me - an open, friendly, supportive team, united by a shared drive to do the best possible job for couples and businesses. There is a lot of fun in the work we do, and also lots of opportunities to socialise and celebrate together after work. There is a real sense of purpose to the work we do, which in my opinion makes a huge difference to your day-to-day. Everyone knows the impact their work will have, and they care about it, which comes across in the quality of work and the collaboration. The thing I value the most is the autonomy and trust. You're empowered to take ownership and bring ideas to life - without excessive levels of sign off and process. It's a very fast-paced environment, which I really enjoy. Like many scaling companies, there's a lot to do and priorities can shift, but for me, that's what keeps things fresh and exciting. Extremely poor leadership. I wish I had read the reviews on glassdoor before agreeing to even sit for an interview with them. I gave my 200% to this company, but unfortunately the management here is really very poor. It is true that no one really knows whats going on. It is a toxic environment when it comes to leadership and everyone just wants to save themselves even if it means driving away great talent. Human resource department on the other hand are absolutely useless. They would just listen to your grievances empathetically but never really take necessary steps to make sure that they mitigate risks of mis alignment due to misunderstandings. I am so disappointed by how they manage serious issues at employee level, and senior most management must take action proactively.
