Pros

more money from the larger company who acquired us so seems like we can keep people and processes

Cons

HR team has all left - they were treated poorly. We have leaders who care about themselves over others. everything changed but we were told it wouldnt. benefits are terrible with new company and we were told they would be the same - opposite

We hear you and thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. Acquisitions are challenging. It is hard to integrate two very different company cultures. You can lose good people. Self-centered leadership will not succeed. But change can be good. In 2021, our engineering headcount will at least double as we roll out new products and the core business gets bigger. This is thanks to the foundation that our veterans created, and the opportunity emerging from the acquisition and partnership with Alliance Data. We have also rebuilt our people/HR team. In fairness to those who have been here since early days, and the talent we have recruited recently, we encourage candidates vetting Bread for the first time to ask our team about the following: 1. What Bread is doing to stay competitive - not just as a business, but for its employees 2. Our benefits 3. Our culture Culture is a very hard thing to fake, fortunately. We strive for one that is collaborative, competitive, evolving, and above all, happy. But don’t take our word for it! We encourage every candidate and employee to determine this for themselves.
