Branch Insurance Response
2yI want to thank you for sharing the experience you had with Branch and I deeply regret that it did not live up to the expectations we set for you. I submit my sincere apologies to you and your family. When you joined Branch, I did not imagine this would happen. But that it did, is on me. I am deeply sorry.
From your post, it seems like you may have not received the details of the transition package we have offered which includes severance pay, health benefits continuation through August, career placement services with a dedicated coach, the ability to keep your laptop and tech package, extended exercise schedule for any vested options, and an invitation into the Brancher Alumni program where we are posting opportunities shared by friends of Branch. If you have not received it or have any questions about it please reach out to questions@ourbranch.com.
As far as why this happened: a number of macroeconomic challenges have collided at once, causing significant challenges across the entire insurance landscape. Everyone from century-old carriers to newer companies like ours have faced these challenges. As we understood we would need to reduce the size of our team, we asked ourselves how we could do so in the most empathetic way possible, knowing that there really isn’t a great way to do this. We tried our very best and I’m sorry if we fell short.
I don’t reply to change how you feel, but rather to offer up the rationale in the event it might help you process. As I wrote to you last week, I am available as a resource to you. If I can help you as you look for a new role please feel very free to reach out to me personally.
