I liked the curly fries, but they removed it. :( Students are a joy to teach, just a few bad apples in the school every now and then.
Cons
This has been, without a doubt, one of the worst schools I have ever worked with in my career. Before I went to Brampton Manor, I will admit that I was excited because of its reputation all over the headlines for its excellence, being a prestigious school in a disadvantaged area. However, when I got there, I was faced with the exact opposite. The management team has no respect for us, the teachers. For just a minute you are late, they will deduct your salary without telling you. The idea of well-being is non-existent in Brampton Manor; the culture is toxic and authoritarian. They watch everything you say and do, and you will be monitored like in 1984. I honestly was not bothered to talk with other teachers, due to how dry it was and the possibility that I might not see them tomorrow. That might sound like teachers there are suicidal, but what I am actually talking about is that the staff turnover is so high in Brampton, I see new faces every day. This school has made me feel like a husk of my former self. I have witnessed senior staff manipulate and intimidate teachers for the most petty reasons, especially those who are much younger, and new to the teaching game; yet it is swept under the rug we walk on. It is ironic how SLT demands organization and empathy, when they do not even have that themselves. If you ever want to join this school, teacher or student, be ready for management to be as unsupportive and cold as they could get.
