Pros
There is great communication within the company from the President/CEO all the way down to the entry-level workers. They promote within, recognize achievements, and provide a lot of support and training. You feel important and that you matter in this company. As an entry level employee I have had the opportunity to meet and speak with the highest level executives in the company already and they are happy and eager to hear what you have to say. They hold an annual awards ceremony to recognize all the properties and employees achievements, which is also a great way for the employees to get to know each other. Bozzuto Group is truly like a big family, and everyone is there to support you and help you.
Cons
Working in an apartment community, the office is open 7 days a week with only 4 days a year off. This makes it difficult to schedule your time between your personal life and your work life. You will most likely miss many events you would like to go to and things you would like to do, especially on the weekends. If you have a good property manager you may be able to have some more flexibility with scheduling. Also the pay is not great. They are based out of Maryland where the cost of living is not very high. If you live in a metropolitan area you will likely be underpaid compared to other apartment management companies. The discount they provide for employees to live on property is miniscule (20% off market rate) so with the combination of low pay, even as a property manager you may not be able to comfortably afford to live on property.
