Pros

This is a firm that still believes in building things that last. Relationships, capability, and trust are treated as strategic assets. That shows up in how we work with clients and in how we invest in our teams. People development is not outsourced or delegated. It is a core leadership responsibility, and when done well, it creates both commercial value and deep personal growth. The LA office reflects this mindset in a clear and authentic way. It is a high-performing team with a strong sense of identity and cohesion. There is a deep bench of talent, but more importantly, there is shared ownership and accountability. People step in, support each other, and take pride in collective outcomes. That creates a meaningful difference, especially in a client-facing environment where the pace is consistently high. There is also real clarity in the firm’s direction. The work we are leading in AI, transformation, and strategy is not only relevant in today’s market, it is helping shape the future of how institutions operate. Clients trust us to lead alongside them, not just advise from the sidelines. That creates high-impact opportunities across the firm and across levels.

Cons

The expectations are high. That is a strength of the culture, but it also creates real pressure. As teams run leaner and client needs continue to grow, we need to stay proactive about how we take care of our people. This is not just about workload. It is about the cumulative strain that can build when high expectations are paired with limited time to reset. Leaders have to stay close to what teams are experiencing, create room to recharge, and ensure that growth remains sustainable. If we do not actively protect that, we risk losing what makes this culture distinctive and durable. We also need to keep reinforcing the behaviors that got us here. Collaboration, humility, and a focus on long-term outcomes have always defined our best work. As the firm grows and takes on higher-profile challenges, those values cannot be taken for granted. They must be actively modeled and rewarded.

Pros

Education on AI Fluency and access to the latest LLM models. My immediate team who energizes me.

Cons

BCG isn't what it used to be. Former CEO Rich Lesser cared about Innovation about deep IP and expertise, truly about unlocking the human potential that powers us. Current CEO and leadership trickles down commercialization message, everything is about metrics, what's the business impact, how many cases did this work touch, what is the trend. Often times appearing shortsighted. Lots of politics, lots of words, limited action from PA leadership, largely because they are unable to make a decision, going back and forth on priorities; Every MDP wanting to own something, with too many chefs in the kitchen, and not enough true clarity. Incentive metrics are broken, and asked to do more, An innovation unit is not recognized.
