Unhealthy Work Environment - Anonymous employee Bookends Employee Review

We are saddened and concerned to see this review. It is important to us that as a small business, our strengths are to make the workplace professional, kind, and friendly. We are sorry that this employee did not feel this was their experience. We appreciate seasonal sales can be challenging, and are aware the nature of the business makes it hard for us to offer positions that can be carried out from home. While we take this review seriously, it is untrue to say that we have poor staff retention. We feel that the incredibly long duration of employment of many staff in all areas (warehouse, retail, office administration, and management) is a credible reflection that the workplace is enjoyable with a team that feels appreciated for their contribution. As a healthy company, showing continued growth this would be impossible to achieve without a valued team of loyal employees.
