Pros

Permanence, no overtime, Cool projects.

Cons

This is literally the worst place I have ever worked in, there is a constant surveillance of your work which create so much pressure for no reason, I met all my quotas every week, but still I was under constant surveillance like a kindergartner. You are not allowed to use internet even to look for references, you need to ask your lead, who has access to internet, to download references for you, like a child, If you dare listen to podcasts or anything really, while working, using their Wifi you'll get called into HR ( the principles office) to be talked down to and basically be told how dare you use Wifi for that. The HR department and the management of the studio is just the worst team I have ever worked with, they treat everyone like school children. No training or even time to adapt to their tools, they expect you to be able to use their tools after an hour of you starting, and put so much pressure on you day one. A 9 seconds/day quota. This is literally an animation factory with no respect for the employees, you are expected to come in, not talk to anyone, just sit there and work work work like a machine. For the new years party they will ASK YOU TO BRING THE FOOD/DRINKS!!! How cheap can a company get?? I have never seen this in my life. You don't feel welcome at all once you join, whether it's your team, other teams or even HR. There is no sense of belonging at all, no team spirit, it's every man for himself, it's like everyone is afraid to speak to one an other, and instead of the leads trying to get the members of the teams acquainted through any type of activity or meeting, they actually seem to like how everyone just keeps to themselves. It's just such a messed up place to work, HR has no humanity... You are made aware day one that you are easily replaceable and will always work under the threat of losing your job if you do not meet your quota for any reason. Very low salary even for juniors.

Pros

1) Glassdoor wouldn't let me select both but I get to do modelling AND texturing so I'm not stuck doing the same thing over and over again, it adds a nice mix up in routine (plus i love doing both). 2) alot of projects give a bunch of wiggle room for creative input. 3 ) If you like problem solving we do get to try and develop our own fixes for day to day issues as we work closely with other departments. 4) NO OVERTIME - I suppose this could be a con to some, but the company is pretty much 9-5 mon - friday. So the work/life balance is really nice. 5) benefits are decent - i max out my insurance as much as possible ;) gotta get those massages, drugs, therapy and eyewear where i can. 6) Pro-parent -> alot of flexibility when it comes to parents for WFM when needed/your kids sick. 7) Blue Eyed samurai is super fun 8) a TON of variety when it comes to shows -> we get to work on soooo many styles of art

Cons

They still fixing a lot of technical issues on the IT side of things (they recently had a big turn over of higher positions + IT as well as migrating from 3dsMax to Maya, so a new pipeline takes a while to develop) which can make things a bit slow - although this is less of an issue for preprod mdl/txt. Pay is lower than bigger studios
