Pros

I can honestly say the only pros were home-time and the location.

Cons

Why avoid; - Lower salary compared to the industry average - Ridiculous commission structure - False hopes of promotions, New York offices, etc - It is a database building exercise. You are allocated a list of companies which you have to call day in, day out - No respect for client privacy, even if somebody asks to be opted out of the call list, they keep them in the database - You report to your manager 3 times day - Micromanaged - No lunch until you make at least 10 cold calls - 20 mins to go and get lunch, you are then 'encouraged' to eat it at your desk, oh and somebody has to go with you.

Pros

Leaving the company and getting a better job within a better agency where you can learn and earn. Not taking a job with them you’ll be gone within 6 months like most others

Cons

First of all they are leaving fake positive reviews on Glassdoor to try and hide their bad reputation. Lowest basic salary around - only just got rid of £5000 threshold because most consultants left last year from bad treatment and quality of working environment. Bad management all around. Irrelevant and high kpis all focused on building up a database and not actually making money or servicing clients. Pushed to spam company and client email inboxes and made to get Terms of business signed with no actual intention of filling any requirements. Staff treated badly - one team leader went through a consultants personal emails once and found they were looking to leave, she was then sacked the next day. Bad working environment masked by small incentives. Consultants mostly don’t bill with some only ever making 3 deals a month top if that. 90% staff left last year due to bad ethics. Poor training - not specialists at all. Only hire trainees who aren’t aware of how bad it is. There are better places to work out there. Give this a miss.

Pros

Blu Digital has changed a hell of a lot since I started. And for the better. As with every recruitment business, if you want to make money you have to work hard. I have been given a great opportunity to make the kind of money which I didn't think was achievable, I have a clear career mapped out for me where I can get into senior positions which would take me much longer compared to other recruitment businesses. Management are obviously very passionate about what they do, have worked hard to get the business to where it is now and are working hard to develop the teams and get them to earn money and develop their careers. They work long hours and they are not the kind of people to get up and out the door whilst everyone stays late. Recruitment is a sales business, so yes it can be stressful, yes there are (flexible) targets and yes, that environment is not going to be fore everyone. HOWEVER the opportunity here for the right people is huge. If you want to be an average recruiter, coast along and make an average wage, then it is probably best that you go somewhere else where you can relax, have an easy ride and take home £30k. If you are prepared to work hard, show dedication and have an ambition to be above average, then join Blu and join a business which has a great name in their industry and you will play a real part in contributing to their growth. Trust me you will be rewarded. - Co-workers- I have met some great friends for life and the vibe is great now some of the people who didn't enjoy it have left. Everyone is invested and wants to do well, it is an encouraging environment. The Management genuinely want people to do well and their approach has changed and is more focused on developing everyone. - Opportunity- career development mapped out. They have a well respected name in the market and there is a lot of business to work on and get your desk up and running. There are large growth plans so development is not stagnant. - No Threshold - The £5k threshold was annoying but after feedback from everyone they have now got rid of it. - Incentives- lunches, breakfast club, monthly ones etc

Cons

- A lot of the time there are so many jobs to work on that sometimes it can be hard to service each one as much as we want to. It can make it hard to do more time-consuming things such as go on a lot of external meetings- always busy and there is always something to do! - Expectations and standards can be high - but really that only makes us better
