Pros
A very friendly and relaxed working environment. Given considerable autonomy by management - basically, they trust us to do our jobs. Junior management are very approachable and sympathetic to difficulties of job. In general, the company is genuinely committed to doing the right things by our authors and I do believe are one of the good guys of the science publishing world.
Cons
Low starting salary, considerably less than all our competitors for equivalent positions. Workload is somewhat insane - basically you will need to be able to accept that fulfilling all of your responsibilities as well as you would like is impossible. Some HR aspects very poor - e.g. no official bereavement policy, this seems to be entirely down to whims of individual managers.
