In mid-2021 we announced we would be starting our 401k match program in January 2022, and we did start our 401k match as of January 1, which is fully vested every payroll. It’s a great benefit we’re very proud to offer!
Related to the atypical schedule, we have surveyed the SOC several times (anonymously and named) in the last 1-2 years and the majority remains to keep the 4 days on, 4 days off shift. Feedback related to this schedule was that 4 days off in a row actually felt like a ‘break’ to recharge and also helped with family/child care situations. We will continue to evaluate here as the dynamics of the team change over time.
Our SOC Leadership team has also defined our levels of Analysts, and we’re working to expand career development paths across other groups in the organization and promote open roles in the organization more regularly. Our VP of Threat Hunting and Counterintelligence is currently providing malware reverse engineering training to a group of SOC Analysts with a shift friendly schedule. As we continue to build out career paths in the organization overall, more opportunities like this will be made available.
