The HR team is made up of strong, knowledgeable and connected individuals who are all committed to the 'Biffa Way'. The company culture has a great feel about it, one that's very 'team' based with everyone working together for the benefit of the company. Biffa know that to make their business strategy work, they must align it to their people and ensure first and foremost their people are the priority. Over the last couple of years Biffa have invested a huge amount of money into brand new systems and processes to keep up with technological advances and competitors, as well as investing in new trucks and even electrical vehicles. Progression and development opportunities within Biffa are fantastic, management really want to push and nurture individuals so they can become the very best within the industry. Many people now in management positions have started off in Customer Services taking calls everyday. Overall, Biffa is a great company to work for and has built a nurturing, long term, mission-driven culture amongst it's people.
Cons
Due to being such a large organisation there can be issues with communication and interpretation. Needs to be better flexible working options for those on the front-line.
