Pros
Retail, so the job is ridiculously easy. The benefits package is generally good.
Cons
Best Buy to remain viable in a digitized world. The result is confusing messaging from the top and constant moving goal posts. The vast majority of salaried management is focused on proving their individual relevance as opposed to making actual change. Most initiatives are only lip service, at best. Opportunities for advancement are extremely few and far between, but the expectation is that you perform the work of the role you want before it's offered to you (if it's ever offered to you). Geo pay scales exist, but are in dire need of reassessment - particularly at the line level. It is not uncommon for seasoned veterans to be capped in pay while new hires are brought on at or near cap.
